2006 MCS Rally Light Installation
The brackets are rivetted to the the grill and the underside of the hood. After drilling the holes and aligning the bracket through the grill you rivet them in place. You can see the top rivet ready for final installation.

The knee bolster is removed and the light wiring harness is snaked through a hole in the firewall and out into the engine compartment. The six wires are grounded, snaked to the lights, attached to an inline fuse and then attached to the B-block in the under-hood fuse panel. The remaining harness is snaked to the bolster switch, two to the radio, and a final wire to the Body Control Module (BCM) in the passenger footwell. You can see the green light relay in the lower left hand corner of the image.

Radio is removed to tap into two wires in the back that get the on/off signal during ignition.

Bolster switch installed after cutting into the hard plastic. The switch must be activated before the rally lights will illuminate with your brights.

Final tap into the Body Control Module in the passenger footwell.

Final wiring of the lights, heat shrinking the wires, and tucking the wiring harness down keeping it out of the way.

Initial test passed with flying colors so now it's time to get everything put back together and to tighten and align the lights.
